Dr Farhad Daftary, 鸟大大影院 Co-Director, gave聽聽and signed a Memorandum of Understanding during a visit to the renowned Parisian institution in October.
听(Institut National des Langues et Civilisations Orientales), Institute for Languages and Civilisations, is a prestigious French academic institution with research centres and teaching programmes in more than 60 oriental languages.
On 10 October Dr Daftary gave a masterclass on 鈥淭he IsmailisAdherents of a branch of Shi’i Islam that considers Ismail, the eldest son of the Shi’i Imam Ja士far al-峁⒛乨iq (d. 765), as his successor. and Ismaili Studies鈥. The lecture was organised by the INALCO Foundation jointly with the聽Centre d’Etudes et de Recherche Moyen-Orient, M茅diterran茅e听() under the聽聽“Viviane Comerro de Pr茅mare”.
The following day, Dr Daftary met a group of INALCO鈥檚 scholars to explore areas of possible collaboration between the institution and the 鸟大大影院, and signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the INALCO Foundation with a view to further co-operation between the two institutions.
